Saturday, May 10

Listen up, peoples.  We are playing at 10:00 this Saturday if the weather cooperates.  Right now the weather says 30% chance of rain.  If it isn't actually raining, we'll probably be out there.  As always: Greenwood Civic Center, entrance by the tennis courts, no drugs or booze, bring lots of fun people.  We'll probably play simple games this week, because I plan on being tired.

Come out for innocent, all-American fun.  If you don't come, then clearly you hate innocent, all-American fun, and must be spending your Saturday night burning flags and shooting eagles and helping terrorists.  Commie.

Last Weekend

We've had better turnouts, I'll not lie.  We had 6 people.  Woo.  It was fun, though.  We played freeze tag, which went much better once we figured out that you kinda need to have two people tagging to make it fun.  Andy Mac busted his ass pretty bad a couple of times, which is always fun to watch.  I think that we might add Freeze Tag to our permanent repertoire of games.  We had more people show up late, or get called and told not to bother.  J-M Mac showed up late, after the prom, with his lovely underage girlfriend, who, as it turns out, was elected Prom Queen.  Anyway, we hope to get much better turnouts in coming weeks.  The weather is getting nicer, our repeated calls mean people will start to be ready to play, and lots of players from last year will be home from college soon.  It's hard to keep in mind, but we've been through this growing process a couple of times before, and the players will come.  Or I'll start hitting them with sticks and/or bricks.  Jarrett and I are also starting to invite people from work, which might yield us some new players.  We haven't decided if we're playing this weekend or not, but updates will be on here once we figure it out.  We also might have more rules pages on here this week.  Hard to say.

Manhunt. Saturday. Be There or Be Roundish.

This Saturday, 10:00 PM.  Greenwood Civic Center, at the entrance by the Tennis Courts.  We'll most likely be playing the ever-popular Zombie Apocalypse, and whatever else people want to play (if we've got enough people out).  Come out, bring friends bring enemies, bring anyone that doesn't suck too much.  As always, no booze or drugs, please.

Manhunt is Back (and hot dogs, to boot)

Manhunt, mofos.  Saturday.  11:00.  Greenwood Civic Center.  Be there or be lame.
We will also be out there early (9:30 or 10:00) cookin' us up some hot dogs.  Bring dead animal and drinks (NOT booze), and live it up, manhunt style.
We haven't decided which games we'll be playing.  It depends on how many people we have and what everyone wants to play.  I'll be putting up the rules for some of the games on here soon (hopefully tonight), so send people here if they have questions about it.  Spread the word.  Put a link to this page on your myspace or whatever other webpages you've got.  Go join our facebook group.  Show your love for the Manhunt.

Oh, as always: No Booze, No Drugs, please.  Nobody wants to go to jail.

Up and Running

So, after much promising, Jarrett and I finally got a website up for the GANG League.  We've got a Facebook group too, which you should clearly join.  We're trying to set this up as a sort of organization, so that we can more easily encourage Manhunt groups in other areas (mostly so that we can play when we visit).  Spring is coming, so we're going to be starting Manhunt up again soon in Greenwood.  I didn't end up moving out of town, and I don't think I will in the too-near future (this year, anyway).  There may be a MySpace group coming, too, though I'm not entirely sure.  If you've somehow gotten wind of this site, bookmark it or something, as we'll be announcing on here the beginning of the new season.  Feel free to contact me via email or cell if you have any questions or ideas, and if you have a website, please drop a link to PlayInTheDark.com.  Peace.
